ABOUT

who we are

TOMMY ADVICE, a publishing, management, and consultancy firm, was established in 2019 by Dutch music executive Thomas de Raad. Bringing over a decade of experience across various pivotal roles within the music industry, Thomas has cultivated a deep understanding of its complexities. This expertise has empowered him to guide his clients to notable success, including collaborations with artists like Kygo, Dean Lewis, and Duncan Laurence, and achieving a cumulative stream count of over half a billion across the company's roster.

Being active as a drummer, making radio shows and DJ'ing in his early years, Thomas has always been deeply entrenched in music. His professional journey began in earnest after graduating in Business Administration, with a focus on Music Marketing & Management from the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht. He initially joined Protocol Recordings, managing the day-to-day operations for Nicky Romero, and subsequently, other signed artists.

During his time at Protocol, Thomas worked on significant releases like 'I Could Be The One' with Nicky Romero and Avicii, which reached #1 in the UK, and facilitated collaborations with industry giants like Calvin Harris, Nervo, and David Guetta. He also played a crucial role in sourcing remixes for the label's roster, significantly contributing to its global impact.

Thomas's career further evolved when he joined CTM Publishing as an A&R Manager. Here, he was pivotal in navigating songwriters and producers through the emerging dance-pop music scene, aiding their transition to mainstream recognition. His portfolio during this period includes working with notable artists such as Tiësto, Yellow Claw, Sofia Reyes, Borgeous, and engaging with writers involved in projects for David Guetta, Diplo, Steve Aoki, and more. Thomas's stint at CTM coincided with a significant period in the company's history, as he closely experienced the sell-off of Imagem to Concord.

At TOMMY ADVICE, Thomas de Raad capitalizes on his comprehensive industry experience to offer top-tier management, publishing, and consultancy services. His deep-rooted passion for music, combined with an astute understanding of the music industry's dynamics, enables him to adeptly navigate the challenges and opportunities it presents, positioning him as a key figure in defining its future.
